WELCOME TO THE HHR WEBSITE

I am HHR (Hedda Hondon Raa (Raa means Raw:)) and I have been drawing and painting since 2008. I am situated both in Copenhagen and Kalundborg in Denmark and in Kalundborg I have my workspace in beautiful surroundings at Lerchenborg Castle called Gallery HHR, c/o on Lerchenborg, it’s just by the seaside of Western Zealand surrounded by amazing nature !

In the beginning of 2023, I started showcasing my work publicly and have since then made Exhibitions, Workshops, Events with HHR Live Painting and Drawing Shows, collaborations and the opening of a gallery.

Lots have happened the last years around the HHR art and lots is about to happen. In this case I would like to inform you that you can keep up with current HHR Exhibitions and Shows here on this page just above and in the top also press on links to my Instagram and Facebook where I am actively posting out about the HHR art. As things are happening fast you might notice HHR drawings and paintings on my Social Media which haven’t come up on the website yet and if you see something of interest you are more than welcome to contact me via mail to contact@hhr-art.com or fill out the Contact Formular placed in the Menu Point ‘Contact’. My work have had and ongoing has everything to do with my choice of evolving as a human being, especially as a mother and I do everything I can to collaborate with and support the younger generations.

I create my work in the same manner as I practice to live, present and according to and inspired by the natural physicality of my existence and that of my surroundings. What I do is not schooled, I paint with as little thought in the process as possible and have a spontaneous and intuitive expression which differentiates from piece to piece and currently I am working on the following Collections:

- ‘Globe Heads’ (abstract faces)
- ‘Huanimals’ (abstract full figure body shapes)
- ‘Other Animals’ (abstract animal shapes)
- ‘Selfie vs Cellfie’ (here I receive a photo of a person and create what I call a ‘Cellfie’)
- ‘HHR Copying HHR’ (in this Collection I reuse the images of older original works and make original variants.

I work with paper, canvas, walls and also paint on recycled materials such as wooden boards. The media are acrylic paint/markers, spray paint, oil paint/sticks, oil pastels, soft pastel, graphite, eraser liquid and often I throw in some sand.

In every piece, you can have a look for the HHR signature.

To me, creative output brings liveliness and human connection, and it’s a huge privilege and pleasure to be collaborating with poets and musicians on and off stage. On stage I draw and paint alongside them, the pieces created during these shows are called ‘Show Paintings’ or ‘Show Drawings’ and before a show, I will always make preparation works, which I call ‘Rehearsal Paintings’ and Rehearsal Drawings’.
